Built in 1892 as a store, six years later it became this pub. It is a very ornate Victorian era pub. You could spend hours just marveling at the etched glass and interior decor. One aspect of pubs that I most enjoy is that they provide a nice setting for intelligent discourse. Well, the interior setting at the Salisbury was so nice that Melissa and I sat mesmerized for a long wile before we finally began conversing! They serve a rotating stock of beers and ciders -- some (all?) from hand pumped taps! At the time I was a fan of Fullers London Pride, and I still am. It's a good, bitter brew. I really loved this pub, enough that I broke out Melissa's cheap camera and tried my best, sans tripod, to get a long exposure night photo as we were leaving. This is the only halfway decent shot I got.
