Thanks very much for your site! I first heard Oscar
Brand as a little kid in NYC, and *then* I found out about "Bawdy
Songs & Backroom Ballads". I didn't know that he was even
still around, but I'm delighted to find that he is, and I'm looking
forward to hearing him perform! Thanks again! Hank Ickes Arlington,

Excellent site! I am more into the ww2 era aircraft
but really liked your site. One can only imagine what it was like
to fight in aerial combat, i have veiwed the f-86 and mig-15 up close
at air shows, what a battle it must have been. Salute Michael "Sinner"

I was the crew chief on S/N 25462 stationed with the

Sure is great to see a site dedicated to this wonderful warbird. |

I surfed in looking for Oscar Brand's Air Force songs
info. We played his records almost constantly when I was in training
in Winnipeg in 1961-62. Now I know the source, all I have to find
is the words! A pleasure to visit your website! |

I'm entering this for my father who served with the
336th fighter squadron in Korea in 1953 at Kimpo AFB. He is a retired
Master sargent and is living in Bulverde Texas. After serving for
over 20 years in the Air Force my dad worked for Dee Howard in San
Antonio Texas. He did a lot of work on Lear Jets and many other aircrafts.
His range of aircrart knowledge is expansive. He has told some amazing
stories. He also served in the Vietnam War,and traveled all over the
world with the 336th squadron. |

I have his flight log books, squadron patches, photos
and other things. I am researching his military history so I can write
a little mini-history for my sister. Also, I have been interested
in his military service for many years and am finding out about his
tour with the Air Force. If I find any 336th related photos in his
files I will be happy to provide digital images to anyone interested.
Thanks. |

My late father was a pilot with the 336th Fighter Squadron
in Kimpo, Korea at K-14 from July 1954 to December 1954. His name
was Lt. L.B. Stephens (Lawrence) nicknamed Steve. His call sign was
"Tiger". I was wondering if anyone remembered my father.
He was a Navy pilot temporarily stationed with the U.S. Air Force.
In the 336th Squadron picture he is sitting on the wing of the F-86
next to the fuselage. If you have any info, or remember him I would
appreciate any info. I have his flight l |

A great website. I've learned more about Kimpo than
I did during the year I was stationed there -- July 52-May 53, working
at the Service Club. As one of the other entries here said, ".
. . it sounds like he (your father) was a man that made things count."
I wish now that I had been more like that at the time. Altho I did
take a lot of fotos. I'll see if I can get them scanned and send some
of them to you. It would be nice to see a regular map of K-14 if anyone
had one. Congratulations and th |
