The computer's speaker output volume control allowed easy control of sound card output and SSB power drive. Stuffing the mic and headphone into my cat's foam bed and covering it with a pillow protected the VOX so well that telephone rings, ambient music and loud clapping never set it off. I almost hated to buy a real interface. But my cat was eyballing the bed (resting atop my cabinet) and sharpening her claws. We reached a truce before there was bloodshed. I'm now the proud owner of a Rigblaster M8.
