"We sort of got the short end of the stick on sitting three minute today. We got ahead of the 334th in the morning when they got the scramble, and Allen was all set to make it up during the afternoon. However, Maynard came on in his place and saw it differently. He didn't even make a token effort to even it off. So another animosity on the pad is born. I sometimes wonder how it is that a bunch of guys manage to get up so much ill feeling as is gotten on the pad. It would certainly seem that a little common sense would straighten out the whole thing. Personally, I don't care whether or not the time is balanced each day, but I sure wish everyone would get together on the matter. One time people go out of their way to make it come out. But then the next time, they (or we) say "that's the breaks." I try to maintain a neutral attitude through the whole thing, though sometimes it is hard." Lt. Wm.
