JWHEdisonMedal1.jpg (85225 bytes)This is a scanned image of John White Howell's 6oz, 24k gold Edison Medal. I keep it in a safety deposit box.

In 1992 My mother had the medal's composition and weight verified -- by immersion and weighing -- by a reputable jeweler. It is also my understanding that Cornelia "Nina" Howell Starr once had it verified also, which resulted in a portion being shaved off the edge of the medal by the part that reads "...OF ELECTRICAL" to the right of the Edison bust.
